We are seeking a motivated individual to support the Lead Microbiologist in performing routine microbiological testing and environmental monitoring for Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) solutions and related products. This role involves water testing, media preparation, and maintaining laboratory documentation to ensure strict compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality standards. The position offers hands-on experience in a regulated laboratory environment focused on pharmaceutical microbiology.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct microbiological testing of raw materials, purified water (PW), water for injection (WFI), environmental monitoring samples, bioburden samples, and finished products following approved procedures.
- Prepare and sterilize microbiological media and reagents required for testing.
- Support routine laboratory operations, including maintaining equipment and ensuring cleanliness.
- Accurately document laboratory activities and maintain records in compliance with GMP, Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and data integrity standards.
- Assist in investigations related to Out of Specification (OOS) results, environmental monitoring excursions, deviations, and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs).
- Operate and gain proficiency with laboratory equipment such as autoclaves, incubators, biosafety cabinets (laminar airflow), colony counters, air samplers, membrane filtration systems, microscopes, endotoxin testing instruments, and environmental monitoring devices.
Required Qualifications
- Basic understanding of microbiological techniques and aseptic practices.
- Familiarity with laboratory and documentation practices, emphasizing accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness and ability to learn GMP and regulatory requirements applicable to pharmaceutical microbiology.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, especially those with academic or internship experience in microbiology laboratories.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- This is a full-time, in-person position offering a monthly salary range of Rs 40,000 to Rs 50,000.
