Microsoft 365 Administrator

The Microsoft 365 Administrator will manage and maintain the organization’s Microsoft 365 environment within a hybrid deployment model. This role focuses primarily on email administration through Microsoft Exchange, ensuring operational reporting, SLA compliance, and continuous system improvements. The position also involves backup and restore operations, disaster recovery planning, and administration of Local Active Directory, Azure AD, and on-premises servers. The administrator plays a crucial role in maintaining a secure, reliable, and scalable IT infrastructure that supports effective organizational communication and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer and maintain Microsoft 365 services such as Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive in a hybrid environment.
- Manage hybrid Exchange deployments, ensuring seamless mail flow, synchronization, mailbox administration, and troubleshooting between on-premises and cloud platforms.
- Oversee Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including user account management, permissions, policies, directory synchronization, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and role-based access controls.
- Implement and manage Microsoft 365 security solutions, including Microsoft Defender for Office 365, anti-spam, anti-malware, encryption, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies.
- Plan and execute upgrades, migrations, patches, and infrastructure enhancements to improve scalability, security, performance, and reliability.
- Manage backup and restore solutions for Microsoft 365, on-premises servers, and critical infrastructure, conducting regular recovery testing and validation.
- Develop, maintain, and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans for Microsoft 365, Exchange, Active Directory, and other essential systems.
- Monitor infrastructure health, availability, email traffic, and system performance, while preparing operational reports and ensuring compliance with SLAs.
- Administer on-premises servers, including hardware and software configuration, patch management, firmware updates, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Provide technical support and user training for Microsoft 365, Exchange, Active Directory, and related technologies, while developing documentation to enhance user adoption.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience managing Microsoft 365, Exchange, Active Directory, and hybrid IT environments.
- Strong technical expertise in hybrid Microsoft 365 environments, email security, and system administration.
- Proven ability to ensure SLA compliance, deliver accurate operational reporting, and maintain high system availability.
- Experience in designing, implementing, and testing disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Solid understanding of email security solutions, including anti-spam, anti-malware, and encryption technologies.
- Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach to working with stakeholders and providing user support.
