Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O Technical Specialist

A UK-established technology and media company specializing in enterprise technology solutions, digital transformation, and consulting services is seeking a highly skilled Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Technical Specialist. This role involves taking full ownership of technical delivery, developing scalable solutions, and driving system integrations within complex enterprise environments. Key Responsibilities

Technical Development & Engineering:
- Lead hands-on technical delivery across Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O.
- Design, develop, and deploy solutions using X++ and supported extension frameworks.
- Build and maintain customizations, reports, interfaces, data entities, and batch processes.
- Develop and troubleshoot integrations with eCommerce, POS, warehouse, and third-party platforms.
- Translate functional requirements into secure, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions.

Client Engagement & Technical Ownership:
- Serve as the technical point of contact for UK-based client stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with functional consultants, business analysts, and integration teams.
- Communicate technical challenges, dependencies, delivery risks, and propose solutions.
- Take ownership of assigned technical deliverables and ensure adherence to quality standards.

Testing, Deployment & Support:
- Support unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and regression testing.
- Investigate production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes.
- Participate in deployments, release management, and post-go-live support activities.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and uphold development standards.

Required Qualifications

- Over 10 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O technical development.
- Strong expertise in X++, Chain of Command, extensions, event handlers, and D365 extensibility.
- Proficient with data entities, forms, tables, classes, and batch jobs within Dynamics 365.
- Hands-on experience with OData, REST APIs, Data Management Framework (DMF), and Azure integration services.
- Familiarity with Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, and source control systems.
- Excellent debugging, performance optimization, and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

Experience with Shopify, POS systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), third-party logistics integrations, Azure services, and working with UK-based clients will be considered an advantage.

Additional Details

This is an on-site position based in Shahrah-e-Fasial, Karachi. The working hours are from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The contract is initially for one year, with the possibility of annual renewal. The monthly compensation ranges from Rs400,000 to Rs500,000.
