Mid-Level Backend Developer (Node.js)

We are seeking a Mid-Level Backend Developer with 3.5 to 4 years of experience to join our team on-site. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the backend services and APIs that power our React Native and React web applications. You will work independently on projects, from initial research and design through to deployment, while collaborating closely with the frontend team to ensure seamless integration and performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs, as well as real-time socket services using Node.js and Python.
- Design scalable backend services employing microservices architecture, service layers, and repository patterns.
- Build AI automations and workflows, including integrations with large language models (LLMs).
- Integrate third-party services such as Stripe, Plaid, Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), AWS, and phone authentication providers like Twilio.
- Take full ownership of projects, managing them end to end from research and design to deployment.
- Write comprehensive tests and API documentation, and actively participate in code reviews to maintain code quality.

Required Qualifications
- Strong fundamentals in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and object-oriented programming principles, with experience in frontend web application development.
- Proficiency in backend development using Node.js frameworks such as Express, NestJS, or Fastify, along with Python.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, real-time socket communication, including API versioning, pagination, and documentation.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture, service layer, and repository design patterns.
- Familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL databases, ORMs like Prisma, Drizzle, or Mongoose, and concepts such as ACID transactions, caching, and scaling strategies (vertical and horizontal).
- Understanding of security best practices including authentication, role-based access control (RBAC), and end-to-end encryption.
- Hands-on experience integrating external services such as LLMs, Stripe, Plaid, Firebase (FCM), AWS, and phone authentication systems like Twilio.
- Working knowledge of infrastructure tools such as Docker and managing scheduled background jobs.
- Experience writing unit and integration tests using Jest and Mocha.
- Strong collaboration and research skills, with the ability to manage projects independently and deliver results.

The position offers a monthly salary ranging from Rs120,000 to Rs180,000. This is a full-time, on-site role with an evening shift schedule.
