Mid-Level Full-Stack Web Developer

We are seeking a skilled Mid-Level Full-Stack Web Developer with 5 to 6+ years of professional experience specializing in PHP, WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, and custom web development. The ideal candidate will be proficient in handling end-to-end development tasks, including requirement analysis, solution planning, coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance. This role involves working across various CMS platforms, APIs, third-party integrations, and hosting environments, requiring strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. The position offers a hybrid work setup based in Islamabad, with a preference for candidates who can reliably commute or relocate.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, maintain, and troubleshoot websites and web applications across multiple platforms.
- Manage full development lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
- Create and customize WordPress themes, plugins, and WooCommerce stores, including complex e-commerce functionality.
- Perform custom PHP development, debugging, optimization, and maintenance of legacy and new codebases.
- Develop and customize Shopify stores, themes, Liquid templates, and related APIs and integrations.
- Work with various CMS platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Wix, and Squarespace.
- Convert Figma and other design files into responsive, production-ready websites.
- Integrate third-party APIs, CRMs, analytics, marketing tools, payment gateways, and other business systems.
- Build and maintain REST APIs, webhooks, and custom integrations.
- Optimize website and application performance focusing on PHP execution, database queries, caching, Core Web Vitals, and server-side efficiency.
- Troubleshoot complex issues involving PHP, JavaScript, WordPress, databases, plugins, hosting, DNS, SSL, and integrations.
- Implement security best practices across all development and hosting environments.
- Manage staging and production deployments, backups, domains, DNS, and SSL configurations.
- Use Git-based workflows for version control, collaboration, and deployment.
- Conduct code and website reviews to enhance performance, security, scalability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate effectively with designers, SEO specialists, marketers, QA teams, and project managers.
- Mentor junior developers and share technical knowledge within the team.
- Stay current with modern web development technologies and AI-assisted development tools.

Required Qualifications
- 5 to 6+ years of professional experience in web development.
- Strong expertise in PHP, including object-oriented programming, database integration, error handling, security, and performance optimization.
- Extensive experience with WordPress core, themes, plugins, hooks, custom post types, and WooCommerce.
- Proven ability to develop or significantly customize WordPress plugins and themes.
- Proficiency in PHP and MySQL.
- Solid skills in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience with WooCommerce development and customization.
- Practical experience with Shopify, Liquid templates, APIs, themes, and integrations.
- Familiarity with multiple CMS platforms and major page builders.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, and third-party integrations.
- Experience integrating CRMs, analytics, marketing platforms, and payment gateways.
- Knowledge of website performance optimization, scalability, and security best practices.
- Comfortable working with Git-based workflows.
- Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid environment based in Islamabad.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
