The Mid-Level IFRS role is a full-time, on-site position located in the Karachi Division. The primary responsibility is to prepare and review financial statements and disclosures in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and relevant regulatory requirements. This role requires interpreting new and existing IFRS standards and supporting their implementation across various business units to ensure consistent accounting policies. The individual will collaborate closely with finance, treasury, and investment banking teams to analyze complex transactions, evaluate accounting implications, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Additional duties include assisting with internal and external audits, preparing technical accounting documentation, and contributing to process improvements and comprehensive financial reporting documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements, disclosures, notes, reconciliations, and supporting schedules in line with IFRS and regulatory standards.
- Interpret and apply new and existing IFRS standards, facilitating their consistent implementation across the organization.
- Collaborate with finance, treasury, and investment banking teams to analyze complex financial transactions and assess their accounting treatment.
- Assist in internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Develop technical accounting papers and memos to support accounting decisions and policies.
- Contribute to the enhancement of financial reporting processes and maintain thorough documentation.
- Monitor compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.

Required Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting frameworks, and applicable banking or financial sector regulations.
- Proven experience in preparing and reviewing financial statements, notes, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Ability to analyze complex financial transactions and prepare clear, concise technical accounting memoranda.
- Proficiency in accounting and ERP software, with advanced skills in Excel and handling large data sets.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work efficiently with cross-functional teams and auditors.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications such as CA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent, either completed or in advanced stages.
- Relevant mid-level experience within a financial institution, audit firm, or corporate finance environment.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
