Mid-level / Senior Front-end Engineer (Pakistan)

Vectara is seeking an entrepreneurial front-end engineer to join its expanding front-end team. This role focuses on developing and enhancing the company’s flagship Console product, the corporate website, and the Vectara UI React component library. Working closely with the Head of Front-End Engineering and UX—a hybrid designer/engineer—you will have the opportunity to make strategic technical and architectural decisions. This position offers meaningful autonomy and a direct impact on how customers interact with and benefit from Vectara’s products.

Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and back-end engineers to deliver broad enhancements and new features for the Console UI. Proactively identify and propose improvements that drive growth and increase productivity. Beyond the Console, partner with cross-functional teams such as Product Marketing, Developer Relations, and Growth Marketing to develop front-end solutions for demos, open-source projects, and marketing materials. Take ownership of technical decisions and contribute to shaping a rigorous engineering culture that supports the company’s growth.

Required Qualifications
Proficiency in TypeScript and React is essential. Strong written communication skills are required to clearly articulate ideas and technical concepts. Ability to approach ambiguous problems methodically and independently. Demonstrated initiative in identifying problems and understanding their broader business context, while effectively collaborating to prioritize solutions. A natural curiosity and eagerness to learn new technologies and approaches.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience solving complex engineering challenges in JavaScript and TypeScript, with a proven ability to analyze and decompose problems into maintainable, high-quality solutions. Skilled at writing clear and concise technical documentation such as RFCs and design documents, tailored to diverse audiences. A track record of leveraging engineering and communication skills to deliver impactful results for teams, businesses, and users.
