Middle ML Engineer (Computer Vision)

We are seeking a skilled Middle Machine Learning Engineer with a focus on Computer Vision to join our AI Customer Support and Safety team. This team works across various domains such as Computer Vision, NLP, and Reinforcement Learning to enhance our products and improve customer experiences. The primary responsibility of this role will be to automate the driver verification process, making expertise in computer vision essential. This is a full-time position based in Pakistan within our AI Cluster department.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, deploy, and maintain machine learning models and systems to meet business needs.
- Perform thorough data analysis, preparation, and processing to support model development.
- Contribute to the design of ML systems, particularly focusing on data annotation and processing workflows.
- Adhere to security guidelines and proactively identify potential risks in ML implementations.
- Collaborate with team members to review designs, ensuring solutions are effective, flexible, and reusable.
- Troubleshoot issues and provide constructive feedback to improve engineering design and delivery processes.
- Ensure deployed features meet requirements and function without unintended side effects.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for models, processes, and system workflows.
- Monitor deployed solutions to guarantee they perform according to expectations and provide ongoing support.
- Actively seek internal resources and solutions to promote reusability and adoption of common technologies.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in machine learning, with prior software engineering experience preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with common data processing frameworks for streaming, batch, and asynchronous data.
- Solid foundation in classical machine learning, deep learning, and advanced mathematics.
- Experience with MLOps principles and tools to manage the ML model lifecycle effectively.
- Background in backend systems and infrastructure, with a willingness to learn new technologies such as Golang for integration purposes.
- Ability to design solutions using common design patterns and various design tools.
- Experience in experiment design and validating information credibility from diverse sources.
- Clear understanding of the business impact of delivered features.
- Strong problem-solving skills, emphasizing technical reasoning and data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including active listening and consensus building.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous self-development and a collaborative approach to contributing within communities.
- Ability to balance quality and speed appropriately, with clear justification for decisions.
- Capability to explain technical decisions and their implications to non-technical stakeholders, including product and business managers.
- Proficient English communication skills.
