Travel & Tourism Sales & /Marketing Officer will be responsible for executing the Sales & Marketing Plan of the Company. This Officer will facilitate an active relationship with Clients. Work involves marketing GTE (Gobal Travel Express) to stimulate economic development and promote Company Business. Meets monthly with a tourism advisory committee and reports directly to the Executive Director.

  • Promote attractions to Develop and implement a Travel & tourism marketing plan for Global Travel Express working closely with corporate and individual’s accounts attractions.
  • Maintain & meet Travel & tourism budget yearly target.
  • Oversee creative message development to promote sales.
  • Organize various media information and make affordable and effective media buys to promote the business plan to increase sale.
  • Oversee design/printing of marketing publications.
  • Plan new research-based advertising strategies for current and subsequent years that will increase travel market share.
  • Develop relationships with national, international and regional Travel & Tourism Sector based publications and writers, tours operators and travel agents.
  • Design, develop and conduct familiarization tours & visit for media, event planning, and tour operators as well as cooperate account.
  • Community events to various places to promote GTE awareness and market share.
  • Contribute to and monitor the flow of new web content. Coordinate with the web maintenance provider to create a bi-monthly report on the effectiveness of the website.
  • Gather data and prepare annual Travel & tourism situational analysis for the GTE Executive Committee.
  • Participate in radio talk shows; provide current and updated information to the press.
  • Knowledge of Travel & tourism industry
  • Knowledge of local Market area
  • Must be a self-starter with ability to work with volunteers
  • Must be computer literate
  • Experience in Sales & marketing presentations
  • Able to design and compose publications
