Mobile Software Engineering Expert - AI Training Projects

Gramian Consultancy is seeking experienced Mobile Software Engineers to contribute to the training and evaluation of next-generation AI systems. In this role, you will design realistic and challenging mobile development tasks that test an AI model’s ability to debug complex applications, implement new features, refactor existing code, and optimize performance. Your work will involve building reproducible development environments, creating deterministic automated tests, and providing verified reference solutions to ensure the reliable assessment of AI-generated code.

Key Responsibilities

- Design complex and realistic mobile software engineering tasks using existing code repositories to challenge advanced AI models.
- Develop problems that involve debugging, feature development, code refactoring, application state management, lifecycle handling, and performance optimization.
- Focus on at least one mobile development track, including:
- Cross-platform frameworks such as React Native, TypeScript, JavaScript, or Flutter with Dart.
- iOS development using Swift, SwiftUI, or UIKit.
- Android development with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, or the Android View system.
- Establish reproducible development environments with clear requirements, dependencies, and execution instructions.
- Write deterministic automated verifiers that accept valid implementations while rejecting incorrect, incomplete, or hard-coded solutions.
- Develop and validate golden reference solutions that demonstrate correct approaches to each task.
- Ensure all tasks are technically rigorous, unambiguous, reproducible, and suitable for evaluating advanced AI coding capabilities.

Required Qualifications

- Significant hands-on experience in at least one mobile development specialization: cross-platform, iOS, or Android.
- Strong programming skills in at least one relevant language such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Dart, Swift, or Kotlin.
- Deep understanding of mobile application architecture, including state management, asynchronous programming, and application lifecycle.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex mobile applications, identify subtle defects, and implement robust fixes.
- Experience in developing mobile features, refactoring codebases, and improving application performance.
- Ability to create automated tests, validate expected behavior, and distinguish correct implementations from superficial workarounds.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to produce clear technical documentation.
- Availability to begin work shortly after onboarding and meet minimum weekly task submission requirements.
