MODULE LEAD - Scala

We are seeking an experienced Scala Developer / Lead to join our dynamic technology team across multiple locations including Bangalore, Noida, Pune, Hyderabad, and Chennai. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 8 years of experience in web-based application development and a strong background in Scala programming. This role involves designing and building cloud-native services using modern open-source frameworks, contributing to a collaborative development environment, and ensuring high-quality software delivery through rigorous testing and code reviews.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop cloud-native services primarily using Scala and open-source frameworks such as Akka and ZIO.
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests using Scala Test and ZIO Test to ensure code quality and reliability.
- Actively participate in daily stand-up meetings to provide updates and collaborate with team members.
- Engage in peer code reviews as part of the standard Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Change Management processes, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or a related field.
- 5 to 8 years of professional experience in web-based application development.
- Proficiency in Scala is essential; experience with Node.js or Java is considered a plus.
- Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL database concepts and data modeling techniques.
- Demonstrated passion for learning new technologies and adapting to evolving technical environments.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical and analytical approach.
- Strong communication skills to effectively articulate technical concepts and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
