Primary function/purpose
The Monitoring and Evaluation unit is responsible for developing, supporting and documenting learnings, managing knowledge and information for core program activities in line with the communication and reporting requirements of both organization and the donors. He/she will take a key role in designing media and communication related products including need-based IEC materials, success stories of direct beneficiaries, and documentaries and lessons learnt from the key program interventions.
Major duties and responsibilities
- Contribute to the drafting of periodic progress/performance reports and fact sheets;
- Maintain timelines and Gantt charts as instructed;
- Create communication and marketing strategies for new products, launches, events, and promotions.
- Design media and communication related products including need-based IEC materials, success stories of direct beneficiaries, and documentaries and lessons learnt from the key program interventions.
- Contribute to the revision of the project log frame matrix, particularly in the areas of performance indicators and their measurement;
- Develop the overall framework, for project M&E, for example, mid-term project review, impact assessment, final evaluation, and develop project Performance Monitoring Plan with relevant data collection systems;
- Develop baseline data for each project component and for all project indicators;
- Collect data on a regular basis to measure achievement against the performance indicators;
- Oversee performance of major graphic design tasks, supervise and quality control print production;
- Maintain design and content of public website and Intranet;
- Maintain the organizations library of resource literature and documents, including tracking of documents;
- Maintain the contact lists of all relevant partners, stakeholders and interlocutors;
- Develop case studies/stories of change and contribute to the impact assessment/evaluation/end-line studies.
