This role involves creating visually compelling motion content that effectively communicates climate challenges and policy responses. The successful candidate will lead the creative development, execution, and quality control of all animated materials within the ministry, serving as the primary technical expert on motion design within the digital media team. The position demands strong visual storytelling skills, creative concept development, and a keen aesthetic sense to produce engaging animations that reflect regional diversity and inclusivity, targeting a broad audience including youth and vulnerable communities.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the creative development and quality assurance of all motion design outputs for the ministry’s digital media team.
- Develop mood boards, storyboards, and animation styles consistent with the ministry’s tone and climate narratives.
- Ensure animations maintain a consistent visual identity aligned with communication goals and cultural context.
- Conceptualize and produce motion graphics, animated explainers, and infographic videos supporting climate campaigns and communication priorities.
- Animate complex climate data such as temperature shifts, rainfall patterns, and biodiversity loss into clear visual stories using charts, transitions, and maps.
- Translate policy materials into engaging animated sequences for public awareness.
- Optimize motion content for multiple platforms including Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, TV spots, and presentations.
- Maintain project files, version control, asset libraries, and rendering outputs with attention to detail.
- Troubleshoot video rendering, compatibility, and design consistency issues.
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Communications and policy teams to shape visual storytelling strategies from a climate perspective.
- Provide creative input during content planning and communication briefings.
- Recommend tools, plug-ins, and visual styles to enhance content quality and impact.
- Manage multiple projects and timelines independently, prioritizing urgent campaigns such as disaster alerts and climate awareness days.
- Produce rapid-response animations for infodemic corrections and social media myth-busting.
- Ensure visuals reflect Pakistan’s regional diversity and inclusivity.
- Deliver bilingual content (Urdu-English) with appropriate fonts, typography, and script flow.
- Design animations with accessibility in mind, including readable text, color contrast, and visual hierarchy.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum 6 years of professional experience in motion design or related fields.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe After Effects (including expressions, effects, and 2.5D animation), Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro.
- Optional experience with Blender, Cinema 4D, or other 3D animation tools is a plus.
- Proven ability to translate complex or technical data into engaging motion content.
- A professional portfolio demonstrating a broad range and high quality of animated work is mandatory.
- Educational background in one of the following or related fields: BS Computer Science, BS Artificial Intelligence, BS Data Science, BS Information Systems, BS Information Technology, BS Computer Engineering, BBA (Information Technology or Technology Management), BE Computer Science, BE Information Technology, BS/BE Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or equivalent qualifications.
- Maximum age limit: 45 years.
