MS Huzaim Kamal Enterprises seeks a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in cost estimation, tendering, procurement, and project management. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of relevant experience in the construction industry and a proven ability to accurately perform quantity takeoffs and manage construction budgets. This role focuses on ensuring that projects are delivered within their financial constraints while maintaining quality standards. Although this position does not involve managing a team, the role demands excellent collaboration and communication skills to work closely with contractors, suppliers, and project managers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare precise cost estimates and quantity takeoffs for construction projects to support accurate budgeting and financial planning.
- Conduct thorough tendering processes including preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and recommending suitable contractors.
- Manage procurement activities to acquire materials and services at competitive prices while ensuring quality and timeliness.
- Monitor and control construction budgets by tracking costs throughout the project lifecycle and implementing cost-saving measures where necessary.
- Collaborate with project managers and site teams to assess project progress and resolve any financial or contractual issues that arise.
- Analyze variations and claims, prepare reports, and negotiate agreements to maintain project profitability.
- Maintain detailed records of all financial transactions and prepare regular cost reports for senior management.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to contracts and procurement.
- Review and validate subcontractor pricing and payment applications to ensure accuracy and contractual adherence.
- Support risk management efforts by identifying financial risks and proposing mitigation strategies throughout project execution.
