Huawei is seeking experienced Multi-Vendor Telecom Optical Transmission Engineers and Team Leads across Pakistan. The ideal candidates will have strong hands-on expertise with multi-vendor telecom transmission systems, including Huawei, ZTE, Nokia, Fiberhome, and other third-party equipment. Key technologies involved include DWDM, OTN, PTN, SDH, and EMS/NMS monitoring systems. This role demands a deep understanding of optical transport networks and the ability to lead teams in delivering complex network projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise optical planning engineers to ensure timely delivery of network designs and project milestones.
- Oversee the development of High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) for metro, regional, and long-haul optical transport networks such as DWDM, OTN, FTTS, and IPRAN.
- Analyze traffic patterns, perform link budget and span analyses, and forecast bandwidth demands to optimize network performance.
- Manage capital expenditure (CapEx) planning, budget forecasting, Bill of Materials (BOM) preparation, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and technical tender evaluations.
- Coordinate effectively with equipment vendors, contractors, and internal departments to ensure smooth project execution.
- Define operational standards and lead continuous improvements in network deployment and monitoring processes.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecom Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Huawei and ZTE Optical Transmission systems.
- Proven expertise in multi-vendor optical network integration, network planning and design, telecom site installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Strong knowledge of link budgets, optical protection schemes, Network Management Systems (NMS), and routing/MPLS integration.
- Demonstrated ability in project management, vendor negotiation, and cross-functional communication.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience working with transmission equipment from Huawei, ZTE, Nokia, and Fiberhome is highly desirable.
- Background in network swap, upgrade, and merger projects is an advantage.
- Familiarity with major telecom operators such as Zong, Jazz, Telenor, Ufone, PTCL, or similar is preferred.
- Nationwide field and project deployment experience will be considered a strong asset.
- Experience levels vary depending on the role: Junior Engineer candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant experience, Senior Engineers 7+ years, and Team Leads between 8 to 15+ years.
