Job Purpose:
- The purpose of the positions is to manage the information technology systems, processes and procedures of Muslim Aid Pakistan.
- Ensure that up to date software and information security measures are being executed and all data being used by staff of MAP is run in secure environment.
- To support MAP users through the delivery of reliable, cost efficient and high-quality IS services.
Key Accountabilities:
- Act as a first line support and primary point of contact for all service-related queries, issues and requests.
- Log all calls made to the MAP Service Desk with the correct level of detail and impact to facilitate resolution.
- Refer unresolved calls to the most appropriate resolve group and escalate calls to the correct level of management as appropriate.
- Evaluate new information systems products and emerging trends in the IT field and recommend changes to existing products or services to better aid the Muslim Aid and the end user and its worth to the Organization. Educates staff on the use of new technology; ensure products and solutions are applied in a manner that maximizes usefulness.
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of information systems and electronic data processing (EDP)
- Implement procedures regarding how problems are identified, received, documented, and corrected as approved by the Management.
- Hire and manage information systems personnel and contractors to design, develop, implement, operate and administer computer and software, networks and information systems
- Meet with managers to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines
- Reviews and manage IT purchase requests and makes recommendations regarding the feasibility and acceptability. Minimizes cost through product standardization.
- Edit content for the organization's web site internet and intranet. Performs as support editor of the site's content and gathers and researches information when necessary.
- Manage administrative assistant and support personnel who troubleshoot IT issues.
- Control the computer systems budgets and expenditures
- Assess organization’s computer training needs and requirements. Coordinates and implements basic computer training and Oversees progress and effectiveness of training programs
- Planning and implementation of additions, deletions and major modifications to the supporting computer networks infrastructure
- Implements network security
- Oversee the administration of the computer networks infrastructure.
- Builds and maintains vendor relationships and manages the purchase of hardware and software products.
- Manages the purchasing of all software, hardware and other IT supplies
- Ensures that company assets are maintained responsibly
- Performs other related work, tasks, projects as assigned by the Management
