Job Purpose:

Village assessment Formation of Community structure. Capacity building of community, Mobilization to community record keeping.

Key Accountabilities:

Coordination with school administration, community stakeholders, local counterparts, and partners for effective and timely project implementation. Facilitate information and knowledge management.

DETAILS OF KEY FUNCTIONS:

Social mobilization

  1. Plan social mobilization activities in the context of the project log frame and targets set aligned with the project work plan.
  2. Provide input in the development of terms of partnership to be signed with the communities for participation in the project activities,
  3. Initiate the social mobilization process and facilitate the project communities to organize themselves in the shape of community organizations (male and female).
  4. Identify and establish community groups and members of the community.
  5. Facilitate participatory planning and implementation process for identification of school’s infrastructure needs and construction of prioritized infrastructure.
  6. Initiate and support different extracurricular activities of the community base as per the plan in the project.
  7. Facilitate school administration in carrying out school DRR assessments of children.
  8. Support COs to build their capacities in CO management, planning and monitoring, conflict resolution, and promoting social harmony in the community.
  9.  Provide input for the preparation of monthly and quarterly progress reports on the field activities highlighting achievements and bottlenecks.

Coordination

  1. Coordinate with the project coordinator, MEAL, Operations, and HR department for integrated and coordinated activities in the field.
  2. Support and coordinate with different implementing partners of the government department in carrying out studies, assessments, and training.
  3. Support the community organizations to establish their linkages with the local authorities and other development actors to improve the social services in the area

Facilitate information and knowledge management 

  1. Collect and provide support in the collection of information for base-lines surveys and evaluation or any other required study.
  2. Document success/case stories for the project.
  3. Document the overall social mobilization process, identify issues, and suggest improvements in the process.

Document working with schools, their effectiveness, and identify issues and suggest measures for improvements. 

Note: Interview for this position will be done on rolling basis.
