Educational /Professional Qualification:
- Minimum Graduation or equivalent from a local or international university / college /
institute recognized by the HEC of Pakistan - Candidates having a Masters degree from HEC recognized university / institution will be preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 15 years of banking experience, out of which at least 05 years of experience as Head and / or one level down to Head of Corporate Operations and / or Transaction Banking and / or Payment Services related areas, like Treasury and / or Foreign Remittances and / or Payments & RTGS, and / or Cash Management
Other Skills / Expertise / Knowledge Required:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent team management and leadership skills
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to details & proactive working attitude
- Able to manage large teams of executive cadres
- In-depth knowledge of prudential regulations related to Operations, specifically Cash
Management Products, RTGS, Foreign Exchange Remittances and Treasury
Outline of Main Duties / Responsibilities:
- To manage the entire back office for Corporate Banking, Treasury, Trade, Payments,
Collections, Clearing, Remittance, RTGS & Cash Management Operations and ensure timely delivery of all the jobs / tasks assigned - To work with the Corporate, Treasury and other Business Heads to influence the creation and communication of company strategy, business priorities, policies and targets for the Regional and Corporate Teams / Unit Heads and ensure that the systems, policies and procedures are in place in order to have smooth operations
- To translate the business and strategic goals into operational plans to achieve the required targeted growth in sales and profit; identify and optimize operational opportunities ensuring these are coordinated well within the organization
- To take lead role in building a culture with the operations team; spend time coaching direct reports, identifying skills and opportunities for development; provide advice and guidance on issues when needed
- To generate ideas and bring best practices in operational activities to ensure a cutting-edge strategy; maintain up to date knowledge of the marketplace, systems, competitors and trends to propose solutions to address service level issues
- To ensure timely delivery and maintain required service level of overall Payment Services division in line with business strategy
- To ensure effective system implementation and automation of processes through
partnering with IT to improve TAT in line with the regulatory compliance and organizational policies - To conduct departmental audits, identify key risk areas, prepare and present reports on operational performance and suggest improvements
- To ensure all processes and procedures are in compliance with current laws and regulations
- To develop programs and take initiatives on improving performance and client delivery
- To partner with the key stakeholders establishing a workable framework & bring Operations best practices
- To apply effective communication strategies which are related to Payment Services
- To search for concepts related to business process reengineering and implement new SOPs
- To keep abreast with new trends and best practices in the field
- To perform any other assignment as assigned by the Group Chief
