Minimum Graduation or equivalent, preferably in Banking and / or Accounting and / or Finance and / or Business Administration and / or Economics and / or a related discipline from a local / international university / college / institute recognized by HEC of Pakistan
Experience:
Other Skills / Expertise / Knowledge Required:
Good analytical skills with an aptitude for identifying, assessing risks, devising controls and mitigants
Knowledge of risks, controls and regulatory requirements
Outline of Main Duties / Responsibilities:
To assist the supervisor in developing, reviewing and updating the Risk & Control Self Assessment (RCSA) framework, methodology and procedures for Business and Support Functions, as and when required
To drive the implementation and embedment of the RCSA framework across business and support functions through effective stakeholder engagement and awareness sessions
To coordinate with business and support function owners to identify, assess and document key risks, controls, control gaps and mitigation plans through periodic RCSA exercises
To review and challenge RCSAs submitted by process owners to ensure all material risks, controls and associated action plans are adequately identified and documented in line with the approved methodology
To engage with stakeholders to identify, review and monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and ensure timely reporting and escalation of threshold breaches
To maintain an updated list of Risk Management Coordinators (RMCs) for business and support functions and ensure effective coordination with them
To maintain a sound understanding of the Bank's risk management framework, operational risk policies, regulatory guidelines and internal procedures relevant to business and support functions
To monitor the implementation and timely closure of action plans arising from RCSA exercises and report overdue or critical items to management
To analyze RCSA outcomes, emerging risks, control weaknesses, trends and prepare periodic MIS and management reports for senior management and relevant committees
To provide value added feedback from a risk and control perspective on new products, policies, processes and procedural changes impacting business and support functions
To coordinate with Internal Audit, Compliance, and Business Units to ensure alignment of RCSA activities with the Bank's overall risk management framework
To perform any other assignment assigned by the supervisor(s)
