Wing Head – MIS & Database (VP / SVP)

In line with our strategy, the Bank is looking for talented, dedicated and experienced professional(s) for the following positions in the area of Retail Banking based at Karachi.

The individuals who fulfill the below basic-eligibility criteria may apply for the following position:

Wing Head MIS & Database (VP / SVP)

Reporting to:
Divisional Head Business Intelligence & Analytics

Educational /Professional Qualification:

• Minimum Graduation or equivalent from a local or international university / college / Institute recognized by the HEC of Pakistan
• Candidates having MBA / MS in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Sciences, Information Systems or relevant professional qualifications will be preferred

Experience:

• Minimum 10 years of working experience, including 05 years in a leading role managing Unit / Wing / Department for MIS and / or Data Analytics / Reporting and / or Business Intelligence or relevant area
• Candidates having working experience in a Bank and / or Financial Sector or in a Large-Scale Organization would be preferred

Other Skills / Expertise / Knowledge Required:

• Strong understanding of business processes, retail banking operations and management information requirements
• Strong hands-on understanding of SQL, SAS, Power BI and / or other relevant BI, analytics and visualization tools
• Strong knowledge of database development, data warehousing, data quality, data governance and data management practices
• Ability to design and implement standardized dashboards, reports, trackers, data sciences and management information frameworks
• Strong understanding of reporting automation and process optimization
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
• Strong leadership, team development and people management capabilities
• Strong interpersonal and networking skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant productivity / reporting tools
• Exposure to large-scale banking databases, data warehouses and customer / branch-level data environments
• Ability to convert complex data into clear and actionable management insights

Outline of Main Duties / Responsibilities:

• To lead the MIS & Database Wing and provide overall direction for management information, database capabilities, reporting, business trackers and related data services
• To provide leadership to the Automation & Database Unit and MIS / Trackers Production Unit, ensuring timely, accurate and reliable delivery of business-critical MIS and reporting requirements
• To develop, standardize and continuously enhance management reports, dashboards, business trackers and MIS solutions for the Retail Banking Group
• To translate business requirements into effective, scalable and reliable MIS, reporting and data solutions in coordination with relevant stakeholders
• To partner with Information Technology and other stakeholders on data extraction, data availability, data integration, data quality and system / data requirements
• To establish and strengthen data governance, data quality, documentation, controls and archival practices for branch, customer, product, portfolio and other critical Retail Banking Group data assets
• To drive the automation and digitalization of recurring and manual reporting processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, turnaround time and scalability
• To ensure availability of accurate, timely and consistent product, branch, regional and portfolio-level information for senior management and field / business teams
• To establish and maintain standardized report definitions, data sources, business rules, methodologies and controls to ensure consistency and reliability of management information
• To strengthen the Wing's capability to provide single-source, trusted and decision-ready management information to business and senior management
• To support the Head of Business Intelligence & Analytics in developing and implementing the overall MIS, data and analytics agenda for the Retail Banking Group
• To coordinate with business functions, regions, branches, Information Technology and other stakeholders to understand emerging requirements and ensure effective delivery of MIS and data solutions
• To provide timely support for ad-hoc MIS, management reporting and analytical requirements and other business intelligence needs
• To monitor the quality, timeliness and effectiveness of MIS and reporting deliverables and introduce improvements where required
• To lead, coach and develop the team, building specialist capabilities in MIS, database management, data governance, reporting and automation
• To promote a culture of data accuracy, accountability, service orientation, innovation and continuous improvement within the Wing
• To ensure effective prioritization and delivery of multiple concurrent MIS, database and reporting initiatives in line with business priorities
• To perform any other assignment as assigned by the supervisor(s)

Employment Type:

The employment will be on contractual basis for three years which may be renewed ondiscretion of the Management. Selected candidates will be offered compensationpackage and other benefits as per Banks Policy / rules.
