NDT & ANDT Inspector

Key Responsibilities

Perform a range of conventional Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) examinations including Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Radiographic Testing (RT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT/MPI), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT/DPT), and Visual Testing (VT). Assist in Advanced Non-Destructive Testing (ANDT) based on qualifications and project needs, including tubing inspections of heat exchangers, boilers, condensers, and other tubular equipment using techniques such as ECT, IRIS, and RFT. Conduct Long Range Ultrasonic Testing (LRUT) and Guided Wave Ultrasonic Testing (GWUT) on piping and components.

Operate, calibrate, and maintain NDT/ANDT equipment, analyze and interpret examination data, and evaluate indications according to applicable standards and acceptance criteria. Prepare accurate and traceable inspection reports, review examination data and calibration records, and interpret engineering drawings, weld maps, piping isometrics, and equipment drawings. Support inspection activities during fabrication, construction, maintenance, and shutdown/turnaround projects. Coordinate with clients, contractors, QA/QC personnel, and project teams to ensure smooth operations. Maintain proper identification and traceability of inspection results, identify technical issues, and take corrective actions as needed.

Demonstrate strong practical NDT inspection skills, data analysis, and report-writing capabilities. Communicate effectively with clients and work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team. Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, maintain safety discipline, and be willing to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Required Qualifications

Hold valid ASNT/PCN/ISO NDT Level-II certifications in UT, DPT, MPI, and RT, with demonstrated competency in relevant ANDT techniques. Tubing inspection and LRUT/GWUT certifications and hands-on experience are preferred. Additional qualifications in PAUT, TOFD, and MFL are advantageous.

Educational background should include a Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE), Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Materials Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Training in both conventional and advanced NDT techniques such as UT, DPT, MPI, RT, ECT, IRIS, NFT, LRUT, TOFD/PAUT, and MFL is essential.

Possess working knowledge of relevant standards including ASME Section V and VIII, ASME B31.3/B31.8, API 510/570/653, ASTM standards, ISO 9712, and SNT-TC-1A. Familiarity with NDT/ANDT procedures, inspection and acceptance criteria, welding and material fundamentals, and interpretation of engineering documentation is required.

A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant industrial NDT/inspection experience is necessary, with hands-on involvement in inspection activities. Experience in heat exchangers, boilers, condensers, process piping, pressure vessels, and other industrial equipment is advantageous. Background in oil & gas, refinery, petrochemical, fertilizer, power, fabrication, offshore/onshore, or heavy industrial sectors is preferred. Shutdown and turnaround experience is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
