.NET Core BackEnd Engineer

EchoData is seeking a Backend Core Systems Engineer with 3 to 4 years of experience to join a leading client in the banking and fintech industry. This onsite role is based in Karachi, Pakistan. The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing scalable backend applications, enterprise integrations, and high-performance financial systems. You will play a critical role in building and maintaining robust backend services that support complex financial workflows and digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using .NET Core, C#, and ASP.NET Core Web API.
- Build and integrate REST, SOAP, GraphQL, and third-party APIs to enhance system functionality.
- Develop scalable backend components tailored for workflow-driven and enterprise applications.
- Work extensively with SQL Server, MongoDB, and other NoSQL databases to manage data storage and retrieval.
- Implement secure authentication, validation, logging, error handling, and seamless API integrations.
- Troubleshoot production issues promptly and optimize application performance for reliability and speed.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, business analysts, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver dependable solutions aligned with business goals.

Required Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core, and ASP.NET Core Web API development.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
- Proficiency in working with SQL Server and/or MongoDB databases.
- Deep knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming concepts, SOLID principles, Dependency Injection, and Clean Architecture.
- Experience in integrating APIs and debugging backend systems effectively.
- Familiarity with development tools such as Git, Postman, and Swagger for version control and API testing.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with messaging and background job frameworks like RabbitMQ, MassTransit, or Hangfire.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Working experience with Elasticsearch and Kibana for logging and monitoring.
- Previous exposure to banking, fintech, digital onboarding, payment systems, or workflow-based platforms is highly desirable.
