.Net Developer

UST is seeking a skilled .NET Developer with experience in AI/ML to design, develop, and integrate intelligent applications that drive business transformation. This role focuses on building scalable backend systems using .NET technologies while leveraging AI, machine learning, and generative AI capabilities. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with product owners, architects, and business teams to deliver innovative solutions that enhance performance, scalability, and security within cloud-native environments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using .NET Core, .NET Framework, and C#.
- Build and consume RESTful APIs and microservices to support enterprise solutions.
- Integrate AI/ML models and generative AI services into existing and new applications.
- Develop data-driven solutions utilizing SQL Server and cloud-native architectures.
- Work with Azure AI and OpenAI services to enable intelligent automation and generate actionable insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product owners and architects to ensure timely and quality solution delivery.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in performance, scalability, and security.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Support deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting within Azure cloud environments.

Required Qualifications:
- Strong expertise in C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET, and related frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Web APIs, Entity Framework, and MVC architecture.
- Proficient in SQL Server including database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Solid understanding of design patterns and SOLID principles.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services such as App Services, Functions, Storage, and Azure SQL.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes (preferred).
- Basic to intermediate understanding of machine learning concepts including classification and natural language processing (NLP).
- Experience with generative AI and large language models (LLMs) such as Azure OpenAI and GPT models.
- Skills in prompt engineering and API integration for AI services.
- Ability to integrate AI capabilities into applications via REST APIs or SDKs; Python service experience is a plus.
- Understanding of data pipelines and model consumption workflows.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Frontend development experience with Angular or React frameworks.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
- Familiarity with authentication frameworks such as OAuth and Azure Active Directory.
- Exposure to Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), embeddings, or AI-based automation solutions.

Experience:
- Mid-level professional with 4 to 8 years of overall software development experience.
- At least 1 to 2 years of hands-on exposure to AI/ML or generative AI use cases.
