The .NET MAUI Developer role is a hybrid position based in Multan, Pakistan. This role involves designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing production-grade cross-platform applications using .NET MAUI, C#, and related .NET technologies. The developer will work on applications running across Windows and Android devices, including physical phones, tablets, and specialized POS hardware. Daily tasks include implementing new features, troubleshooting complex production issues, optimizing application performance, integrating APIs and backend services, managing local data persistence, and ensuring application reliability across diverse platforms. The role requires hands-on experience with offline-first applications, synchronization, connectivity handling, application state management, and real-device debugging. Collaboration with product owners, designers, QA engineers, and fellow developers is essential to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Additionally, the developer will contribute to architectural decisions, conduct code reviews, prepare technical documentation, mentor junior developers, and help improve engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain cross-platform applications using .NET MAUI and C#.
- Implement new features and troubleshoot complex issues on Windows and Android devices, including POS hardware.
- Optimize application performance and ensure reliability across multiple platforms.
- Integrate RESTful APIs, backend services, and manage local data persistence.
- Handle offline-first application development, including synchronization, connectivity loss, retries, and recovery.
- Debug and profile applications on real devices, diagnosing platform-specific issues related to UI, lifecycle, performance, permissions, and device compatibility.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical documentation.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to improving engineering standards and workflows.

Required Qualifications
- Strong foundation in C# programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in C#/.NET development.
- At least 2 years of hands-on production experience with .NET MAUI.
- Proven experience building and maintaining cross-platform mobile and desktop applications.
- Solid understanding of MVVM, SOLID principles, dependency injection, software architecture, and design patterns.
- Experience developing applications for Android and Windows platforms.
- Skilled in debugging and troubleshooting applications on physical Android devices, including phones, tablets, and specialized devices.
- Proficient with RESTful APIs, JSON, asynchronous programming, and third-party service integration.
- Experience with local databases, data persistence, and application state management.
- Practical knowledge of offline-first application development and data synchronization.
- Ability to handle connectivity loss, retries, synchronization failures, and recovery after app restarts.
- Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes rather than applying superficial fixes.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, code reviews, sprint planning, and technical documentation.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience developing Restaurant POS or Retail POS applications.
- Knowledge of payment processing systems and payment terminals.
- Experience working with PAX or similar Android POS devices.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP or socket-based communication.
- Understanding of offline transactions and Store-and-Forward (SAF) concepts.
- Experience integrating hardware peripherals such as printers, barcode scanners, cash drawers, and customer displays.
- Exposure to ASP.NET Core / .NET backend services.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Knowledge of automated testing practices.

This position is suited for senior engineers capable of independently managing production applications, understanding existing codebases, troubleshooting complex real-device issues, and delivering reliable offline-first solutions. Candidates with strong production experience in .NET MAUI, Android, offline-first applications, POS systems, or device integration will be prioritized. This role is not suitable for those with experience limited to basic MAUI UI development, tutorials, simple CRUD apps, or simulator-only Android development.
