Network and Hardware Engineer

Based in Lahore, this role requires a Network Support Engineer with a minimum of three years of experience in managing and supporting network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. This position involves designing, implementing, and maintaining network systems to ensure optimal performance and security across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and implement network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, wireless networks, servers, and associated hardware.
- Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Monitor network performance continuously and troubleshoot any outages or connectivity issues promptly.
- Manage network security by configuring firewalls, access controls, VPNs, and network segmentation.
- Deploy and troubleshoot rack-mounted servers to support business operations.
- Assist the team with parts procurement and logistics-related challenges.
- Collaborate closely with the support desk to ensure all documentation requirements are met.
- Work alongside systems, security, and application teams to align network support with business needs.
- Respond to network incidents and participate in on-call rotations as required.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of three years’ experience as a Network Support Engineer.
- Proficiency in Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco routing and switching technologies.
- Experience working with security appliances to safeguard network infrastructure.
- Skilled in troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark and SolarWinds.
- Good understanding of server hardware components.
- Expertise in at least one operating system.

Preferred Qualifications

- Valid CCNA certification is highly preferred.
- Experience with Cisco UCS and HPE hardware will be considered an advantage.
