Network engineer

PostEx is seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer to support daily network operations and provide Level 1 and Level 2 IT support. The role involves maintaining the networking infrastructure and assisting with the installation and troubleshooting of CCTV systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with MikroTik routers, Cisco networking devices, and a solid understanding of network protocols and connectivity. This position requires strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently, including during night shifts.

Key Responsibilities

- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot MikroTik routers to ensure optimal network performance.
- Provide daily L1 and L2 technical support to users and IT operations teams, addressing a wide range of network and IT issues.
- Manage IT-related emails, support tickets, and follow-ups to maintain efficient communication and timely resolution of problems.
- Ensure strict adherence to IT Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and operational guidelines.
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues across LAN, WAN, and MAN networks to minimize downtime and maintain service quality.
- Configure and troubleshoot Cisco networking devices, with a focus on switches, to support network infrastructure.
- Support network protocols and infrastructure troubleshooting to maintain seamless connectivity.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot NVR/DVR-based CCTV systems and IP cameras, ensuring security infrastructure is fully operational.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to coordinate and expedite the resolution of technical issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in networking and IT support roles.
- Hands-on experience working with MikroTik routers in a professional environment.
- Practical knowledge of Cisco switches and a solid understanding of networking fundamentals.
- Familiarity with LAN, WAN, and MAN architectures, including network layers and protocols.
- Experience with CCTV systems, including installation and troubleshooting of NVRs, DVRs, and IP cameras.
- Strong troubleshooting skills combined with effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently, particularly during night shifts, demonstrating reliability and self-motivation.
