New Vision Engineering Consultant is seeking a highly skilled Financial Management / Audit Specialist to oversee and enhance our financial reporting, internal audit processes, and overall risk management. This role requires a professional with strong expertise in budgeting and forecasting, variance analysis, and audit planning. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing comprehensive internal control evaluations and financial modeling to support accurate financial decision-making. This position is critical for ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and improving the financial integrity of our operations. The Financial Management / Audit Specialist will lead a team of three professionals, providing guidance and supervision to enhance the team's effectiveness. The role involves close collaboration with different departments to ensure proper implementation of financial controls and audit recommendations. Experience with government financial rules, donor-funded projects, or public sector audits will be advantageous. The ideal candidate holds a CA, ACCA, ICMA, or a masters degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field, and brings a minimum of twelve years of relevant experience in financial management and auditing.
Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and improve internal audit plans to ensure effective coverage of financial processes and controls.
Conduct detailed financial reporting and analysis to provide insights on variances, trends, and forecasts supporting strategic decision-making.
Lead risk management activities to identify, evaluate, and mitigate financial risks affecting the organization.
Prepare comprehensive budgets and forecasts in alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
Perform in-depth internal control evaluations and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
Manage and supervise a team of three finance and audit professionals, including training, mentoring, and performance evaluation.
Collaborate with senior management and external auditors to facilitate the audit process and implement audit recommendations.
Support financial modeling efforts to assess feasibility and impact of projects and initiatives.
Ensure adherence to government financial rules and regulations, particularly for donor-funded and public sector projects.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, regulations, and standards related to financial management and auditing.
