New Vision Engineering Consultant is seeking a skilled Financial Management / Value-for-Money Auditor to join a dynamic team and lead efforts in ensuring the effective and efficient use of financial resources. The ideal candidate will oversee value-for-money audits, analyze financial data, and assess compliance with established regulations and guidelines. This role involves managing a team of three professionals and collaborating closely with various departments to uphold sound financial management practices within the organization. The successful candidate brings a minimum of 12 years of experience in financial management and auditing, with extensive knowledge of budget management, risk assessment, and internal controls evaluation. This position demands a strategic approach to auditing public sector programs to improve economy, efficiency, and effectiveness while ensuring compliance. Expertise in donor-funded projects and public financial management is highly advantageous, providing critical insight into resource optimization and governance.
Responsibilities

Lead comprehensive value-for-money audits to assess the economy, efficiency, and effectiveness of financial activities and public sector programs.
Develop audit plans and strategies that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements to ensure thorough coverage of financial risks and compliance issues.
Conduct detailed financial analysis including variance analysis, risk assessment, and budget management to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
Evaluate internal controls and compliance monitoring frameworks to strengthen financial governance and reduce exposure to financial irregularities.
Prepare clear and concise audit reports outlining findings, recommendations, and action plans to management and stakeholders for informed decision-making.
Manage and mentor a team of three auditors, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development and ensure high-quality audit outcomes.
Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary documentation and information required for effective audit execution.
Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and conduct follow-up reviews to verify improvements and compliance with organizational policies.
Stay updated on current financial regulations, accounting standards, and best practices to maintain audit relevance and effectiveness.
Assist in budgeting and resource allocation processes to optimize financial management and support organizational objectives.
Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies during financial review processes to ensure transparency and accountability.
Support the development and enhancement of organizational policies and procedures related to financial management and compliance.
