New Vision Engineering Consultant is seeking an experienced Research / Bibliometrics Specialist to lead comprehensive research evaluation initiatives and bibliometric analyses. The successful candidate holds a PhD or Master's Degree in a relevant discipline and brings over 12 years of expertise in research methodology, scientometric studies, and research impact assessment. This role involves managing a dedicated team of three professionals, contributing to advanced scientific literature reviews, citation analyses, and research data visualization to support data-driven decision-making and policy development.
As a key member of the research department, the Specialist applies deep knowledge of bibliometric databases and analytical platforms such as Scopus, Web of Science, Google Scholar, and VOS viewer. They drive the assessment of publication quality and research impact, ensuring high standards in academic evaluation and policy research. This position demands a detail-oriented professional with excellent skills in information retrieval, citation analysis, and research methodology to foster innovation and elevate the organization's scholarly research capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of bibliometric and scientometric studies to evaluate research output and impact across diverse disciplines.
- Manage and mentor a team of three researchers, facilitating their professional growth and ensuring collaborative project success.
- Conduct comprehensive scientific literature reviews using advanced information retrieval techniques and bibliometric databases.
- Analyze citation data and research publications to assess the influence and quality of scientific work and institutional research performance.
- Develop and implement research impact assessment frameworks tailored to organizational and policy requirements.
- Utilize bibliometric tools like Scopus, Web of Science, Google Scholar, and VOS viewer for data collection, analysis, and visualization of research trends and networks.
- Produce detailed analytical reports and visual presentations that translate complex metrics into comprehensible insights for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate bibliometric findings into academic evaluation, policy formulation, and strategic research planning.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in research methodology, bibliometric analysis techniques, and relevant analytical platforms.
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of research data by applying rigorous methodological standards and quality control processes.
- Support policy research initiatives by providing evidence-based insights derived from publication and citation analyses.
- Promote best practices in research evaluation and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the research team.
