New Vision Engineering Consultant is seeking an experienced Statistician / Survey & Tracer Study Specialist to lead and manage a team of three professionals in conducting advanced statistical analyses and designing comprehensive survey and tracer study projects. The successful candidate holds a Masters degree in Statistics, Social Sciences, Economics, Data Science, or a related field and brings at least 10 years of expertise in quantitative research methods, survey execution, sampling techniques, and data evaluation. This role involves applying rigorous statistical methodologies to support program assessments and guide evidence-based decision making across various projects. The role requires mastery in developing questionnaires, organizing data collection processes, and interpreting complex datasets to generate actionable insights. The Statistician will oversee the entire lifecycle of tracer studies and surveys, ensuring data integrity and methodological accuracy. The ideal candidate is proficient with statistical software like SPSS, STATA, or R, which enhances analytical capabilities and contributes to delivering high-quality reports. Strong project management skills are essential for coordinating the teams efforts, meeting deadlines, and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement surveys and tracer studies that meet project goals and methodological standards.
Lead the formulation of sampling strategies to ensure representative and statistically valid data collection.
Develop and pilot test data collection instruments including questionnaires to ensure relevance and clarity.
Manage and oversee the daily activities of a team of three, providing guidance and ensuring high performance.
Conduct advanced statistical analyses using software tools such as SPSS, STATA, or R to interpret collected data effectively.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing analytical findings to support research conclusions and policy recommendations.
Coordinate with project stakeholders to align survey objectives with organizational needs and ensure timely delivery of outcomes.
Maintain data quality control and ensure adherence to ethical standards in all phases of data management.
Monitor project timelines and budgets, adjusting plans to meet goals efficiently while managing team resources.
Provide expert advice and training to junior team members on statistical methods, survey techniques, and software tools.
Contribute to continuous improvement by evaluating study methodologies and adopting best practices in statistical research.
Collaborate with external partners and service providers involved in data collection and analysis activities.
