Medical Transcriptionist

Nextvision Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Transcriptionist to join our healthcare documentation team. In this role, you will accurately transcribe medical reports, correspondence, and other documentation from audio recordings provided by physicians and other healthcare professionals. You will be responsible for ensuring that all transcriptions are clear, precise, and adhere to medical terminology standards. This position requires a minimum of one year of experience in medical transcription and familiarity with specialized transcription software. The Medical Transcriptionist will also manage a team of 10 transcription specialists, providing guidance and quality oversight to ensure timely and accurate completion of medical documents. You will coordinate workflow, conduct quality audits, and assist team members with editing and formatting challenges. This role demands excellent organizational skills, strong command of medical terminology, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities

Listen carefully to audio recordings of medical reports and accurately transcribe them into written documents.
Use specialized transcription software and Medical Transcription Editor (MTE) tools to review and edit transcriptions for errors and inconsistencies.
Maintain an up-to-date understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and relevant healthcare regulations to ensure precise documentation.
Manage and supervise a team of 10 transcriptionists, overseeing daily workflows and providing training and support as needed.
Conduct regular quality checks on transcribed documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with company and industry standards.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify unclear or ambiguous dictations to improve transcription quality.
Organize and prioritize transcription assignments to meet deadlines in a timely and efficient manner.
Maintain confidentiality and security of all medical records and patient information according to HIPAA guidelines and company policies.
Identify opportunities for process improvements in transcription procedures and recommend best practices to enhance team productivity.
Provide feedback and performance evaluations to team members and assist in skill development and training initiatives.
