The Project Director leads NIC Sialkot's efforts to foster entrepreneurship and stimulate regional economic growth by empowering emerging startups and strengthening the local ecosystem.

The role carries overall responsibility for the operations and strategic direction of the facility, with a view to enhancing its visibility and impact within the entrepreneurial community. The Project Director engages with industry leaders, government representatives and community partners to build strategic partnerships that advance regional development objectives, and oversees the coordination of support services for startups and industry to ensure the success of incubatees.

The Project Director also reviews the progress reports compiled by the team, manages the incubator's budget in compliance with funding contracts and performance targets, and leads and develops the Centre's team, playing a critical part in implementing the strategies that drive the Centre's overall success.

Preference will be given to candidates demonstrating strength in one or more of the following: venture leadership as a founder or chief executive, with international investment and exit experience and active connectivity to global venture ecosystems; depth in founder development, including venture screening, due diligence and curriculum design; prior responsibility at leadership level for a government or internationally funded programme; familiarity with export-oriented manufacturing sectors; and relevant international certifications in entrepreneurship, incubation or investment readiness.


Responsibilities
  • Lead the Centre's strategy, team, programmes and performance, carrying overall responsibility for its operations and strategic direction in support of entrepreneurship and regional economic growth.
  • Ensure robust delivery of Ignite KPIs, reporting and compliance with the contract agreement, monitoring performance against agreed targets.
  • Oversee the complete startup lifecycle from selection through graduation, coordinating support services and working with business service providers to ensure the success of incubatees.
  • Build partnerships with exporters, manufacturers, investors, government and academia to advance regional development objectives.
  • Convert industry challenges into startup pilots and commercial partnerships.
  • Identify, onboard and engage funding and investment sources through professional networks and relevant associations.
  • Manage the incubator's budget, ensuring sound financial planning and the transparent and effective use of funds.
  • Establish institutional accountability and management visibility, including the policies governing the facility's operations, and develop a long-term sustainability roadmap.
  • Represent NIC Sialkot at regional and international forums, travelling as required to build relationships that support the growth of the incubator.
