Nisar Synthetic Limited is seeking a skilled Planning Engineer and Quantity Surveyor with at least seven years of experience to join our dynamic team. This role involves comprehensive project scheduling and quantity surveying responsibilities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. The successful candidate will possess expertise in project scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project and possess strong capabilities in cost estimation, contract administration, and risk management. As a key contributor, this position manages a team of four professionals, coordinating efforts across engineering, procurement, and construction teams to optimize resource allocation and project outcomes.
The candidate will be responsible for developing detailed project schedules, identifying critical paths, tracking progress, and preparing clear and concise progress reports for stakeholders. A proactive approach to risk mitigation and budget control is vital, as is the ability to prepare accurate bills of quantities and tender documents. Collaboration within multiple departments and participation in project meetings and schedule reviews will be essential components of the role. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or other relevant scheduling tools.
- Monitor and track project progress against baseline schedules, updating timelines accordingly to reflect any changes or delays.
- Identify critical paths and analyze potential project delays; implement corrective actions to mitigate schedule risks.
- Coordinate planning data and input from engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure comprehensive project planning.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports to stakeholders, highlighting schedule status, risks, and resource utilization.
- Assist in resource forecasting including manpower, materials, and equipment to support project requirements and budgeting.
- Participate actively in project meetings and schedule review sessions to align project goals and timelines.
- Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (B.O.Q.) and tender documents with accuracy and attention to contract specifications.
- Conduct quantity takeoffs and cost estimation to support project budgeting and financial control activities.
- Manage contract administration tasks to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project quality standards.
- Implement effective budget control mechanisms to prevent cost overruns and promote efficient use of resources.
- Support risk management processes by identifying risks related to planning and quantity surveying aspects and developing mitigation strategies.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of four professionals, providing guidance to achieve project objectives effectively.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to optimize project delivery and resolve issues related to scheduling and cost.
- Review and verify contractor invoices and progress claims to ensure accuracy and alignment with project milestones.
