We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Pricing Officer / Freight Forwarder. As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a crucial role in the pricing and coordination of freight forwarding services. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in logistics and pricing to contribute to the success of our company.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain accurate pricing strategies for freight forwarding services, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to analyze customer requirements and develop pricing proposals.
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay updated on industry trends, rates, and competitor pricing strategies.
- Evaluate customer shipment data and characteristics to determine appropriate pricing structures.
- Prepare and present pricing quotations, bids, and proposals to potential clients.
- Negotiate pricing and contract terms with customers, ensuring mutual satisfaction and adherence to company policies.
- Monitor and analyze pricing performance and profitability, making recommendations for improvements when necessary.
- Coordinate with various internal departments to ensure accurate and timely pricing information is communicated.
- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and ensure pricing practices comply with relevant laws and regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing pricing inquiries and concerns.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related industry, with a strong understanding of pricing strategies and practices.
- Familiarity with various modes of transportation (sea, road, rail, and air) and related documentation.
- Proficient in using pricing tools, software, and Excel spreadsheets for data analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures is an advantage.
- Familiarity with freight forwarding systems and software is a plus.
