We are looking for an Android developer responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a vast number of diverse Android devices. Your focus will be the development of Android applications and their integration with back-end services along with bug fixed and improvements in existing applications. You will be working closely with team of engineers to design and build the high end mobile applications. Therefore, good communications, commitment to collaborative problem solving and creating quality products is essential.
Responsibilities
- Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
- Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and design of new features
- Work with outside data sources and APIs
- Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable application
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
- Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
- Help maintain code quality
Requirements
- Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
- Experience working with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
- Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
- Experience with publishing at least one Android app on Play Store
- Knowledge of threading, memory optimization and performance tuning
- Experience of integrating third party open source libraries
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
- Good problem solving skills and ability to communicate with other
- Experience with code versioning tools, such as Git, SVN
