We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Structure Design Engineer to join our engineering team on remote basis. This role will primarily involve the detailed design, analysis, and optimization of various mechanical structures for diverse industrial and commercial applications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundational understanding of structural mechanics, excellent analytical capabilities, and proven proficiency in CAD and FEA software for complex structural design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical structures and components using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar). 
  • Perform simulations and analyses (e.g., FEA, stress analysis) to ensure designs meet functional and safety requirements.
  • Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly. 
  • Collaborate remotely with engineering, manufacturing, and project management teams to ensure designs align with project goals. 

·         Optimize designs for cost, weight, and performance while adhering to industry standards and regulations.

  • Generate precise 2D fabrication drawings, 3D models, and comprehensive Bills of Material (BOMs) using AutoCAD.
  • Develop and review technical specifications, and engineering documentation for structural projects.
  • Identify and resolve design challenges, technical issues, and provide engineering support throughout the project lifecycle, from concept to fabrication and installation.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and version-controlled design documentation in a digital format.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • 3+ years of demonstrable experience in mechanical structural design, with a strong focus on industrial or complex mechanical structures.
  • Proven proficiency in at AutoCAD, Revit and structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ANSYS, etc.). Please specify which software you are most proficient in within your application.
  • Strong understanding and practical application of structural mechanics principles, including statics, dynamics, strength of materials, and fatigue analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) for effective remote collaboration, and clear technical reports.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote environment.
