NPI Construction & Engineering is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in construction technology and a minimum of eight years in the field. The ideal candidate will lead a team of 10 professionals and will be responsible for managing all cost aspects of construction projects. This role focuses on ensuring accurate cost estimation, financial control, and effective contract management to support the company's commitment to delivering quality engineering projects on time and within budget. The Quantity Surveyor collaborates closely with project managers, architects, and contractors to monitor project progress, evaluate financial risks, and optimize resource allocation. This leadership position requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while guiding a team to achieve operational excellence in cost management throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of 10 quantity surveying professionals to deliver accurate cost control and management.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects using construction technology tools and methodologies.
  • Monitor project expenditures and forecasts to ensure costs remain within approved budgets.
  • Conduct risk assessments and value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
  • Review contracts and negotiate terms with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure favorable conditions for the company.
  • Manage and process valuations, payments, and financial reports related to ongoing projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers and site teams to track progress and adjust cost plans as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company standards regarding cost management and reporting.
  • Provide clear, concise, and timely reports to senior management on cost performance and financial forecasts.
  • Implement best practices in quantity surveying and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
  • Support procurement activities by assessing cost implications and advising on material and labor selection.
  • Train and mentor junior team members to develop technical skills and professional growth.
