NPI Construction & Engineering is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering with a minimum of 10 years of practical experience in quantity surveying, particularly in large-scale civil and infrastructure projects such as water supply schemes, dams, irrigation systems, and roads. This role requires proficient knowledge in cost estimation, contract management, budget control, and project scheduling to ensure accurate financial tracking and resource allocation. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for preparing Bills of Quantities and cost analysis reports while managing contractor billing and variations. Working onsite at project locations in Quetta and Zhob, Balochistan, the candidate must demonstrate the capacity to lead a team of 10 persons effectively, overseeing their performance and fostering a productive working environment. The role demands expertise in the use of AutoCAD for drafting and quantity takeoff processes, along with advanced skills in MS Excel to support budgeting and cost control activities. This position is pivotal to maintaining proper procurement procedures and ensuring that all work aligns with established measurement standards and construction technology principles. Successful candidates will have recognized qualifications, such as a B.E. or B.Sc. in Civil Engineering or a Diploma of Associate Engineering in Civil Engineering, and be willing to commit to fieldwork. Exceptional organizational and communication skills are essential to liaise with multiple project stakeholders, manage contractual documentation accurately, and uphold quality and compliance standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities

Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and conduct quantity takeoffs using AutoCAD and other relevant tools.
Perform accurate cost estimation and rate analysis for civil infrastructure projects, including dams, roads, irrigation, and water supply schemes.
Manage contract administration, including contractor billing, interim payment certificates (IPCs), variation orders, claims, and final accounts.
Control project budgets and expenses through rigorous budget management and cost control practices.
Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating closely with project managers to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials.
Ensure compliance with measurement standards and construction technology specifications in all quantity surveying activities.
Oversee procurement procedures to facilitate material acquisition in accordance with project requirements and budgets.
Lead and mentor a team of 10 professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high productivity.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and clarify scope of work.
Conduct on-site visits at project locations in Quetta and Zhob to monitor progress, verify quantities, and assess quality standards.
Prepare and present comprehensive reports to senior management and clients regarding project costs, risks, and financial forecasts.
Monitor and manage variations, claims, and disputes to mitigate financial and operational risks.
Utilize MS Excel proficiently to maintain and analyze financial records, cost reports, and project documentation.
Ensure all quantity surveying documentation is accurate, complete, and maintained in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
