NRSP Microfinance Bank Limited is seeking a skilled and experienced Manager Taxation to lead and manage the taxation department effectively. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of tax compliance, tax accounting, and strategic tax planning to ensure that the bank complies with all relevant tax laws and regulations. You will lead a team of three personnel, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance and maintain the accuracy and timeliness of all tax reporting and filings.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in banking with at least five years of relevant experience in taxation. You will be responsible for interpreting complex tax laws, advising the bank on tax-related matters, and implementing processes to optimize tax efficiency. Your leadership and expertise will contribute significantly to the financial health and legal compliance of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the taxation team consisting of three members to ensure efficient and accurate execution of tax-related tasks.
- Ensure full compliance with all statutory tax regulations and laws applicable to the bank and its operations.
- Prepare, review, and submit all tax returns and related reports accurately and on time.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and advise the bank on potential impacts and compliance requirements.
- Develop tax strategies that support the bank's financial objectives while minimizing tax liabilities.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to facilitate audits and resolve tax-related issues.
- Maintain detailed and organized documentation of all tax filings, assessments, and communications with tax authorities.
- Conduct regular training sessions and knowledge sharing within the team to stay updated on the latest tax law developments.
- Provide expert advice on tax implications for various banking transactions and new business initiatives.
- Collaborate with finance, legal, and other departments to ensure integrated compliance and reporting processes.
