Job Description

We are looking for a responsible and driven young lady who enjoys engaging with clients, and problem solving.  You will be looking after the overall operation of the reception, hair, skin and makeup areas including supervision of staff, labour scheduling, client relations, inventories, etc. In addition to the oversight of these areas you will ensure that a consistently high standard is maintained and exceeded in accordance with the Salon’s business directives. Ultimately, you will help boost our reputation by building friendly, trusting relationships with customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Human Resource Administration

-          Manage employees performance and keep score of their performance for recommendations for promotions/bonuses to Salon Director

-          Train, motivate and supervise employees to improve performance

-          Strive to provide opportunities for staff training in the latest techniques in the cosmetology industry,

-          Manage and prepare weekly work schedules and approve service schedule changes and requests for time off to ensure adequate coverage

-          Interview and assist in recruitment of exceptional professionals to maintain salon standards,

-          Plan and conduct team building exercises to promote comradery and loyalty to brand

Salon Administration

-          Oversee the daily operations at the facility  

-          Warmly greet clients and ensure they are satisfied with services in a timely fashion

-          Book and confirm appointments via phone and email and update on salon software

-          Inform clients of special deals, loyalty programmes, & discounts

-          Manage clients who are in waiting, inform them of wait times, offer beverages and chat with them as they wait

-          Provide detailed consultation to clients for single or multiple services

-          Ensure timely service by each employee

-          Process transactions (cash and credit cards) and issue receipts

-          Update client records with contact and billing details, appointments and services offered through the salon software

-          Maintain appearance and standard of salon in terms of cleanliness and safety,

-          Ensure adequate maintenance of salon tools, appliances, furniture, in terms of cleanliness & depreciation

-          Ensure an efficient record-keeping of invoices and receipts

Business Administration

-          Ensure salon is profitable according to budgetary guidelines,

-          Complete inventory duties accurately to ensure that supply inventory is stocked efficiently

-          Source high-quality and trending hair & skin care products for salon,

-          Schedule meeting with Salon Director bi-weekly to review housekeeping

-          Assist in maintaining database of all clientele

-          Ensure timely payments of utility bills and inventory expenses

-          Manage business relationships with all external vendors

JOB REQUIREMENTS: SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

-          Proven work experience as a Manager, Front Desk Representative or similar role in the hospitality industry

-          Fluency in English and Urdu

-          Competency in computer usage specifically Ms Word and Ms Excel

-          Excellent organizational, detail, analytical and problem solving/conflict resolution skills

-          Motivated, professional individual with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

-          Ability to communicate effectively in a positive and professional manner with all levels of personnel

-          Ability to accurately meet deadlines and perform independently in a team environment with minimal supervision

-          Strong time management skills, with ability to meet constant deadlines and handle multiple priorities

-          Ability to multi-task successfully and adapt to rapid change

-          Ability to build employee trust and maintain a high level of confidentiality

-          Ability to demonstrate poise, tact and diplomacy when interacting with those encountered in the course of work, some of whom may be demanding, dissatisfied or upset

-          Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time

-          Familiarity with processing transactions

-          Excellent communication abilities (verbal, phone and email) with a customer service attitude

-          An ability to remain calm under stressful circumstances
