In this hourly, remote contractor position, you will serve as a General Nurse Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for reviewing AI-generated nursing and clinical-care responses as well as creating expert healthcare content. Your role involves evaluating the quality of clinical reasoning and step-by-step problem-solving, providing precise written feedback. You will assess AI solutions for accuracy, clarity, safety, and adherence to prompts, identifying errors related to clinical assessment, triage, escalation/red-flag recognition, medication safety, patient education, infection control, and care planning. Additionally, you will fact-check healthcare information, write high-quality explanations and model solutions that demonstrate correct clinical reasoning, and rate multiple AI responses based on correctness and reasoning quality.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop AI Training Content: Create detailed prompts and gold-standard answers covering nursing care topics such as assessment, triage, safety, patient education, and documentation.
- Optimize AI Performance: Evaluate and rank AI-generated responses to improve their accuracy, safety, clarity, and relevance within clinical contexts.
- Ensure Model Integrity: Test AI outputs for inaccuracies, unsafe guidance, and biases, validating the reliability of responses across various healthcare use cases.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) or equivalent nursing qualification with active licensure or eligibility in at least one jurisdiction.
- Three to five or more years of professional nursing experience in clinical or community healthcare settings.
- Strong clinical assessment and prioritization skills, including interpreting vital signs, recognizing red flags, understanding escalation pathways, and managing safe handoffs.
- Solid knowledge of common disease processes and nursing care interventions in acute and/or outpatient environments.
- Excellent attention to detail for fact-checking, identifying unsafe assumptions, missing contraindications or precautions, and inappropriate advice. Minimum C1 level English proficiency is required.
- Ability to evaluate answers for internal consistency, such as timelines, symptoms, monitoring frequency, and dosing logic, ensuring appropriateness for different care settings (e.g., emergency department, ward, outpatient).
- Reliable, self-directed, and capable of maintaining consistent quality in a remote, hourly contractor role across multiple time zones.
