This position involves providing essential support to medical officers and nursing staff in patient care at the NUST Medical Centre. The role includes assisting with patient handling, shifting, and preparing patients for medical examinations. The incumbent will be responsible for monitoring vital signs, preparing prescription chits, and maintaining accurate patient records. Additionally, the role requires administering intravenous drips, injections, and other medications, as well as dressing wounds and replenishing medical supplies. The candidate will also accompany seriously ill patients to hospitals when necessary and perform general nursing duties during shifts, including weekends and holidays. Flexibility to cover medical duties as required and to undertake any additional tasks assigned by the Officer In Charge (OIC) of the Medical Centre is essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist medical officers and nursing staff in basic patient care and preparation for medical examinations.
- Handle patient shifting and ensure proper conditions for medical procedures.
- Prepare prescription chits and accurately enter patient details into sick report registers.
- Monitor and record patients’ vital signs regularly.
- Administer intravenous drips, injections, and other prescribed medications to patients detained at the medical centre.
- Perform wound dressing and manage the replenishment of dressing materials from the dispensary.
- Accompany critically ill patients to hospitals when required.
- Carry out general nursing duties during assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Provide medical cover duties as needed.
- Execute any other tasks assigned by the Officer In Charge of the Medical Centre.

Required Qualifications
- Class One Diploma in General Nursing from Punjab Medical Faculty Board or Army Medical Corps Centre.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience.

Preferred Qualifications
- Post Basic Diploma in Nursing, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, or any other relevant nursing qualification.
- At least 3 years of nursing experience is desirable.

Candidates must submit scanned copies of all academic and professional documents. The final education certificate or degree must be attested or verified by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). Applicants with a third division in their academic record or a weak academic profile may be considered ineligible. Current employees of NUST with less than one year of service or those without a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their Head of Institution will not be considered. Candidates still pursuing the required degree or those medically unfit are also ineligible. Applicants serving in government departments or armed forces must apply through their respective parent organizations.
