Accounts Officer

The Accounts Officer is responsible for processing day-to-day accounting transactions and preparing financial statements. The individual will reconcile accounts regularly, support month-end and year-end closing activities, and assist in preparing reports required by auditors or regulatory bodies. Accuracy, integrity, and timely completion of accounting tasks are essential in this role. The officer will communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments and collections. Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data and resolve any discrepancies.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
Maintain and update general ledger accounting records in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Utilize SAP software to record and track financial transactions and produce relevant accounting reports.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities by preparing journal entries and verifying account balances.
Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve any financial discrepancies or issues.
Assist auditors during audits by providing required documentation and explaining financial data as necessary.
Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable accounting regulations and company financial controls.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and contribute to the automation and efficiency of the finance function.
