You will be responsible for overseeing a company's procurement process, ensuring the acquisition of quality materials, products, or services at the best possible price.
Their key responsibilities include:
1. Procurement & Vendor Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for cost-effective purchasing.
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials and services.
2. Cost & Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the purchasing budget.
- Optimize procurement costs while maintaining quality standards.
- Analyze market trends to make cost-effective purchasing decisions.
3. Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure all purchases comply with company policies and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier contracts, and inventories.
- Oversee legal aspects of procurement, including contracts and agreements.
4. Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination:
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Forecast demand and plan purchases accordingly.
- Resolve supply chain issues and prevent shortages or overstocking.
5. Quality Control & Risk Management:
- Ensure purchased goods meet company and industry standards.
- Mitigate risks related to supplier reliability, delays, and quality concerns.
- Implement best practices for sustainable and ethical sourcing.
6. Team Leadership & Reporting:
- Supervise and guide the purchasing team.
- Generate reports on purchase activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.
- Present insights and recommendations to senior management.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Experience with procurement software (SAP, ERP, etc.).
- Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of market trends and supplier networks.
