Our client, Faisal Movers, is seeking a dedicated Occupational Health Nurse based in Islamabad/Rawalpindi to support the health and well-being of their drivers. The primary responsibility of this role is to conduct daily health checkups to ensure drivers are fit for duty. The nurse will perform vital sign screenings, collect blood samples, and coordinate with laboratories for timely testing. This position plays a vital role in maintaining accurate medical records, providing first aid, and collaborating closely with management to address any health concerns.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily health checkups of drivers before departure to confirm their fitness for duty.
- Perform basic health screenings including measuring blood pressure, temperature, and other vital signs with precision.
- Safely collect blood samples and liaise with laboratories to ensure timely and accurate testing results.
- Review laboratory reports carefully and maintain confidential, up-to-date medical records for all drivers.
- Provide immediate first aid and medical assistance in cases of minor injuries or emergencies.
- Identify potential health issues promptly and refer drivers to appropriate medical professionals or specialists when necessary.
- Maintain detailed and accurate daily medical screening records and communicate any health concerns to management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to occupational health and safety.
- Promote infection prevention and control practices within the workplace to protect driver health.
- Continuously update knowledge of current nursing practices, emergency response techniques, and health monitoring procedures to uphold high standards of care.
Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold a nursing diploma or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution. Practical experience in monitoring vital signs, blood sample collection, and managing laboratory reports is essential. Strong communication, coordination, and record-keeping skills are critical to effectively perform this role. Candidates with previous experience in clinical, hospital, occupational health, or transportation sectors will be preferred.
