Data Ikseer is looking for a proficient full-stack Odoo Developer to join their team onsite in Saddar, Karachi. This full-time position involves developing reusable and upgrade-safe custom modules while automating complex workflows in line with Odoo best practices. The role requires managing projects from initial scoping and architectural design through development, testing, and deployment. Candidates should have a strong automation mindset and a solid understanding of business processes. The use of AI-assisted coding tools is encouraged to deliver clean, maintainable code efficiently. Working hours are from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, six days a week.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and customize core Odoo modules such as Sales, Inventory, and Accounting to align with business requirements.
- Build robust API integrations using REST, XML-RPC, JSON-RPC, and Webhooks to connect Odoo with external systems.
- Automate manual workflows and create reliable data pipelines with comprehensive error handling and rate limit management.
- Develop responsive, high-performance user interfaces and custom PDF reports using Odoo’s QWeb engine.
- Integrate AI coding assistants into daily development processes to improve debugging, scripting, and coding efficiency.
- Participate actively in daily stand-ups, technical scoping sessions, and collaborate with business stakeholders.
- Document technical configurations clearly and prepare user guides tailored for non-technical teams.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of professional experience in full-stack Odoo development, supported by a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug systematically and deliver pragmatic solutions while understanding trade-offs.
- Proven ability to manage projects independently with proactive communication and minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Git, GitHub/GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines for version control and deployment.
- Experience with Odoo versions 16, 17, or 18 (Community or Enterprise), including deployment, Linux environment management, module migration, performance tuning, multi-company setups, and POS systems.
- Backend expertise in Python programming, Odoo ORM, and custom API development.
- In-depth knowledge of Odoo components such as Models, Views, Controllers, Wizards, Server Actions, Scheduled Actions (Cron), Security Rules, and Access Rights.
- Experience implementing secure solutions with least-privilege principles, audit trails, and sensitive data handling.
- Frontend skills including JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, XML, XPath inheritance, and Odoo’s QWeb templating engine, with attention to UI/UX design.
- Strong command of SQL, particularly PostgreSQL, including database schema design and optimization for efficient batch processing.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, including secure server deployment and management.
