Officer - Network Administration

Based at the Thar Site, this role involves managing and maintaining the enterprise network infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network administration, with hands-on experience in network security, routing, switching, and troubleshooting. This position requires proactive monitoring, incident resolution, and collaboration with various stakeholders to support ongoing ICT initiatives and infrastructure improvements.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, internet connectivity, and network security infrastructure to ensure optimal availability and reliability.
- Monitor network performance, capacity utilization, and service quality, implementing optimization measures as needed.
- Administer and maintain firewalls, VPNs, network access control, authentication mechanisms, and other network security services.
- Diagnose and resolve network incidents, perform root cause analysis, and ensure timely restoration of services.
- Plan and execute network upgrades, preventive maintenance, configuration changes, and infrastructure improvement projects.
- Maintain accurate network documentation, configuration records, network diagrams, and performance reports.
- Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and relevant stakeholders to ensure effective technical support and service delivery.
- Support ICT initiatives, technology enhancements, and continuous improvement projects.
- Provide technical guidance and support to end users and internal stakeholders on network-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with organizational cybersecurity standards, network security policies, and operational procedures.
- Contribute to incident, change, and problem management processes to maintain network stability and service continuity.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing and administering enterprise network infrastructure.
- Proven expertise in network security, routing and switching, network monitoring, and troubleshooting.
