Ogar is seeking an experienced Storeman to oversee the efficient management and operation of the companys storage facilities. The ideal candidate has at least two years of relevant experience and demonstrates strong organizational skills while managing a team of 20 persons. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, maintaining inventory integrity, and supporting smooth warehouse operations. The Storeman is responsible for supervising daily warehouse activities and coordinating with various departments to optimize stock levels and minimize delays. This position requires a proactive individual who can lead a sizable team, implement best practices in inventory control, and contribute to maintaining a safe and efficient warehouse environment. The candidate will also ensure compliance with company policies and relevant safety regulations while fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.
Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate a team of 20 warehouse staff to ensure efficient daily operations.
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming stock to ensure accuracy and quality.
Organize and maintain inventory in the warehouse, ensuring proper storage and labeling.
Manage stock levels through routine inventory checks and accurate record-keeping.
Coordinate the timely dispatch and delivery of goods according to company schedules.
Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures throughout the storage facility.
Train, mentor, and support team members to enhance productivity and adherence to standards.
Liaise with suppliers and transport providers to facilitate smooth goods movement.
Prepare regular reports on stock levels, discrepancies, and team performance for management review.
Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Ensure compliance with company policies, health, and safety regulations at all times.
Address and resolve any issues related to goods handling or team performance promptly.
