This is a full-time on-site role for a Quality Control Manager at FMCG COMPANY located in Kabul. The Quality Control Manager will be responsible for overseeing the quality of products, managing quality control processes, developing and implementing quality standards and procedures, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The Quality Control Manager will also be responsible for managing and training quality control personnel.

Qualifications

Having knowledge and familiarity with quality management systems such as ISO 9001 or industry-specific standards. Understanding the principles of quality management, quality control techniques and statistical process control (SPC) is essential.

Having proficiency and knowledge of using Quality Control tools and techniques. This includes knowledge of measurement equipment, statistical analysis methods, root cause analysis, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), control charts and other quality control methodologies.

Duties and Responsibilities

Incoming Material Inspection: Inspecting and testing the raw materials, components and parts received from suppliers to ensure that the materials meet the specified quality standards and are suitable for use in the production process.

In-Process Quality Control: QC activities are performed at various stages of the manufacturing process to monitor and control quality. This includes conducting inspections, measurements and tests to detect any deviations or defects.

Product Testing: Finished products undergo comprehensive testing to verify that they meet the defined quality standards and functional requirements. This may involve performance testing, durability testing, reliability testing and other relevant tests based on the product specifications.

Calibration and Maintenance: QC includes regular calibration and maintenance of measuring equipment and machinery used in the manufacturing process. This ensures that the equipment is accurate and reliable, enabling accurate measurements and consistent quality control.

Non-Conformance Management: When defects or non-conformities are identified during QC inspections, proper procedures are followed to manage and address them. Non-conforming products may be segregated, dispositioned, reworked or scrapped depending on the severity of the non-conformity.

Process Improvement: QC data and feedback are analyzed to identify opportunities for process improvement. This includes identifying root causes of defects, implementing corrective actions and making process modifications to prevent similar issues from recurring.

Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs): QC activities are guided by well-documented Standard Operating Procedures that define the specific processes, methods and criteria for quality control. SOPs ensure consistency in QC practices and provide guidelines for employees to follow.

Quality Control Inspections: Trained QC personnel conduct inspections and audits to verify compliance with quality standards, procedures and specifications. This may involve visual inspections, dimensional measurements, material testing and other relevant checks.

Quality Data Analysis: QC involves collecting and analyzing quality data to identify trends, patterns and potential areas for improvement. Statistical analysis techniques, such as Pareto charts, control charts and trend analysis are commonly used to gain insights and make data-driven decisions.

Document Control: Documentation is an important aspect of QC in manufacturing. Records of inspections, test results, non-conformities and corrective actions are maintained to provide traceability and evidence of compliance with quality standards.
