This is a full-time role for a Tetra Pack Technician. The Tetra Pack Technician will be responsible for ensuring that the Tetra Pack lines run efficiently and without interruptions, adhering to quality control standards, and servicing and maintaining Tetra Pack equipment. This is an on-site role that is located in Kabul.
Equipment Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Tetra Pak packaging and processing equipment is essential. This includes a thorough understanding of the specific Tetra Pak models, control systems, pneumatics, hydraulics and electrical components used in the industry.
Troubleshooting and Repair Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills to identify equipment malfunctions, analyze root causes and implement effective repair solutions. Proficiency in reading technical manuals, schematics and diagnostic tools for troubleshooting purposes.
Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance: Experience and knowledge of maintenance practices, including preventive maintenance techniques and procedures. Understanding maintenance schedules, lubrication, adjustment methods and inspection protocols to maximize equipment uptime and performance.
Electrical and Mechanical Skills: Proficiency in electrical and mechanical systems relevant to Tetra Pak machinery. This includes knowledge of electrical circuits, motor control systems, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), sensors, pneumatic systems and mechanical components.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills are necessary for accessing equipment manuals, recording maintenance data and using software tools for diagnostics and troubleshooting.
Communication and Teamwork: Effective communication skills to interact with team members, operators and supervisors. Collaborating with other technicians, engineers or production personnel to coordinate maintenance activities and provide technical support.
Safety Awareness: A strong commitment to safety, adhering to safety protocols and promoting a safety culture in the workplace.
Adaptability and Flexibility: Being able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with shifting priorities and demanding production schedules. Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends or on-call shifts.
Continuous Learning: Keeping up-to-date with advancements in Tetra Pak technology, equipment and maintenance practices through ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Installation and Setup: Installing new Tetra Pak equipment or systems according to manufacturer guidelines and specifications. This involves assembling and aligning components, connecting utilities and verifying proper functionality.
Preventive Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment breakdowns and ensure optimal performance. This includes inspecting, cleaning, lubricating and adjusting machinery components as per maintenance schedules.
Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnosing and resolving equipment malfunctions, breakdowns or performance issues. This involves conducting root cause analysis, using diagnostic tools, replacing faulty parts and performing repairs to restore equipment functionality.
Calibration and Testing: Calibrating and testing Tetra Pak equipment to ensure accurate measurements, dosing and packaging processes. This includes verifying instrument accuracy, adjusting settings and conducting performance tests.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs and spare parts usage. Reporting any significant issues, equipment failures or recommendations for improvements to supervisors or management.
Safety and Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Following relevant health and safety guidelines, equipment safety procedures and maintaining knowledge of industry-specific safety standards.
